Physiatrists / Rehabilitation Doctor

A Physiatrist or a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation doctor is a medical doctor (MD) who focuses on prevention, diagnosis of treatment of individuals with temporary or permanent functional impairment. The role of the physiatrist is to manage multi-aspects of a given diagnosis and assess the patient to prescribe the necessary therapies. In addition, physiatrists can offer medical interventions, such as injections, to manage symptoms and treatment of the injury.
